The Cavern Wall of Fame. Situated on Matthew Street in Liverpool, the wall features all of the bands who played in the cavern from 1957 - 1973 and also includes a few contemporary names from the 90's. Unveiled by Gerry Marsden, Billy J. Kramer and George Melly in 1997 the wall is a tribute to the original Cavern which was demolished in 1974 due to railway extension plans. |
