Mills Media was commissioned by Liverpool Law Society to record the bi-annual Charity Ball held at the Crowne Plaza, Liverpool on the 8th May 2010. Bob Baxter spent the evening photographing the event, a 1940′s themed evening, which was attended by over 200 members and guests of Liverpool Law Society.

Over £11,500 was raised on the night through a raffle, silent auction and main auction with some wonderful items being sold. A large part of the money will go to “Help for Heroes” to fund new Personnel Recovery Centres to care for seriously injured and long term sick members of the Armed Forces. A portion of money raised will also go to the Society’s Liverpool Mombasa Access to Justice Project in Kenya. The event organised by the Social Events Committee at Liverpool Law Society was a great success and the evening was compered by Jonny Gould of Channel 5 fame. Entertainment was supplied by Usherettes, Mime Artistes and a silhouette artist, all organised by Mills Media. Dancing was to Paul Pashley and his band.

Mills Media also undertook the technical production, supplying the themed set, stage, full AV support and live cameras. Sarah Poblete, CEO of the Society said afterwards “I would like to thank you, Barrie and the rest of the team at Mills Media who looked after our event so well on Saturday night. I think it was a very well-run event and all the staff at Mills Media couldn’t have been more helpful, supportive and accommodating to the Society’s needs”
