Cheshire Police

Mills Media are just completing a series of roadshows across Cheshire for Cheshire Constabulary.  Based at Congleton, Warrington, Great Sutton and Police HQ at Winsford the morning seminars are a chance for every member of the police force to hear the new vision for the force from the recently appointed Chief Constable, David Whatton.  Twenty two events in the months of May and June have seen the Mills production team travel the length and breadth of the county.

Mills Media recently completed the Annual Awards for RICS East at the unique Imperial War Museum, Duxford utilising the Airspace Exhibition. The set and stage was erected under the nose cone of Concorde and 250 guests enjoyed a superb awards evening in the shadow of Concorde's fuselage. The event posed a few technical issues for the Mills crew due to health and safety regulations and movement restrictions around the aircraft exhibits. This meant a tight two hour window to unload, rig and build the set, stage, data and PA system for the evening’s event. The show was a huge success and RICS East are already talking to us about their 2010 event.

The ‘Journey of a Lifetime’ programme began filming in May ‘08 and was launched in May 2009 – a twelve month production that truly lived up to its name. As part of its corporate and social responsibility programme, G4S Electronic Monitoring took eight staff members and paired them with eight young people from Sefton (with the help of Merseyside Police Safer Schools Officers).  The plan was to encourage and support the teenagers through difficult times and to hopefully encourage better life choices.  The documentary captures the journey from beginning to end (via Liverpool, the Lake District, Manchester and Chile) and offers a fascinating view of the mentor/mentee relationship and its ultimate rewards.

This huge project is now complete and the successful launch took place at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital to a specially invited audience.  Produced primarily for carers, the DVD explains how the Anticipatory Care Calendar will help them to identify and support the health needs of people with learning disabilities

The new DVD production includes seven short films featuring vital health observations, interviews with key health care players, unique animation and graphic sequences to explain health inequalities and a heart-breaking monologue entitled ‘Robert’s Story’ about the needless death of a client in social care.

The National Caravan Council enjoyed a successful stint at this years Boat, Caravan & Outdoor show at the NEC in Birmingham. Re-using the stand they had previously for their London show, we managed to keep to the budget but still offer outstanding service and a great stand with high brand impact!

The National Caravan Council will be exhibiting at further shows this year using the same Unibox metro stand. Unibox framework allows clients to invest in a versatile system where graphics can be easily changed and updated at a minimal cost in comparison to bespoke modular built stands. The framework can also be used in individual sections offering more configurations dependant on stand and/or event size. It’s a simple design that breaks down and can be transported and erected very easily.

Cammel Laird Logo

Local company Cammell Laird are internationally renowned shipbuilders and repairers. Mills Media have been working closely with Marketing Manager, Dave Williams, to design stands for shows in the UK and most recently in Norway.

Unibox was the best option as Cammell Laird wanted a system that could be versatile enough to change per show and also allow new images and graphics to update the look and feel over the next few years.

Cammell Laird recently sponsored the ShipRepair & Conversion expo at London’s Olympia and required their stand to be a bold statement, promoting not only themselves but also their support services and partners. They enjoyed a high volume of customers to the stand and have collected some great leads!

Liverpool design agency ‘Finch’ commissioned MMG to produce an exhibition stand for their Manchester based client DxS. Exhibiting at Healthcare industry shows both in the USA and Europe, DxS needed a lightweight, easy transportable stand – After meeting with the client MMG were commissioned to supply a Unibox Metro stand. Since purchasing the stand, MMG have provided further graphics of new products and have shipped it out to the USA.

HCA logo
The HCA recently commissioned Mills Media to photograph two major development sites in London. The Hale Village project located near Tottenham will result in the construction of an entirely new, self contained village including residential, retail and community services.
Kidbrook is a large 'concrete jungle' council housing estate which is about to be demolished and redeveloped to modern standards. Both of these projects were photographed for use in the new HCA corporate 'flagship' brochure.
